1 package sweet French bread
1-10 ounce jar Tarama (carp roe caviar)
2 ups vegetable oil
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
Remove crust from bread and set aside. In a food processor, finely chop half of the onion. Add one-half jar of Tarama caviar into food processor and continue to mix well.
Dip half package of bread, piece by piece, into bowl of water; squeeze excess water out of bread (bread should be moist, but not mushy.) Add bread pieces into food processor and continue to mix. Slowly add one cup of oil into mixture. Next, add one-quarter cup of the lemon juice and mix until you reach a smooth consistency. Repeat process with remaining ingredients. Refrigerate for approximately one hour and serve with pita bread, baguette or crackers. Makes approximately 10-12 servings. This appetizer can be made in advance and stored in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for approximately 10 days.
